Been busy playing the Wonderverse as well as a new (longer) entry, but for now, I've added Mr. Obsidian Chill's review of the Wonderverse - see you next entry!
Just a quick entry highlighing the "top five powers" as of 2020, per Mr. Greg DeLuca. I was surprised to see one of my newest powersets being mentioned as a good DPS (that would be water), but it's worth a listen, and mabye a comment or head shake!
While I was at it, figured I'd add a much better Super Girl rendition, than the train wreck / SJW "Super Girl" from the WB. Until next post!
Currently working on a few new entry/categories for the blog, but wanted to keep up with the updated power guides in the meantime. During the BOP metahuman fight, I decided to make and scale up a water-based character... making this the perfect time to add the water update! Yes, once again headed over to Mr. Obsidian Chills invaluable channel for more guidance...
Also added a be more on Mera, Queen of the Seas. For a second, I considered adding some Amber Heard (the RL train wreck that played Mera in the Aquaman movie), but I'll just leave this entry with some amazing Mera artwork from two fantastic artists - Mr. P. Gandara & the legendary Nebezial! See you next post!
Today's entry is a bit short, as there's a few RL things to get addressed... but I'm adding the updated In-Depth Nature Guide (by Mr. ObsidanChill, again) in preparation for next weeks release of the Wonderverse!
I also decided to add his latest review on artifacts, as just ranking them up is almost an thought-less habit. Having an insight into how they work... and if they are worth the effort. Also, worth a watch.
Just an early week interlude, with a preview of the open world Wonderverse missions. Always nice to have a heads up as to what to expect, courtesy of Matus Kravec!
The video runs about 20 minutes (or a tad under, really). However, it's been awhile since we've had new content (imo), so looking forward to some new content! Enjoy the view and see you next post!
And... I'm back! Took a bit of a break from the blog and honestly didn't think I'd have the interest in returning, but a confluence of recent events (and a desire to move beyond in-world dynamics). So after a new computer, new connection, and new motivation, JL Legends is back!
As such, I'm catching up with the amazing Mr. Obsidian Chill and his power reviews. He's been quite busy, and as a re-introduction, I've posted his latest, the in-depth Fire DPS/Tank guide! As I've returned my Blue Devil character back to a fire power set, it's been a great help. (Well, I like the look, but at this point, the power set is average... but need to get him up in time for the upcoming Wonderverse).
So a few changes moving forward...
1) I may not post as frequently, but I'll try to at least put a few entries a week.
2) I will be less circumspect about my opinions of in-world dynamics. (There is plenty of idiocy going on in DCUO, but some things do stand out).
3) I'll be posting saucier pictures on the blog. (Not that older pictures weren't saucy, but I'll put any NSFW graphics in the lower part of the entries).
Welp, its been fun posting DCUO guides, but a change in perspective is leading me towards different goals. A bit ago, I had seen a "final post" by DackMan, stating he was done with the DCUO. This led me to thinking about my own time spent on the DCUO. Aside from needing a new computer (in the works), I considered that the huge open world is pretty much vacant, with the exception of the occasional season event. Also, the events seem... 'meh'. I liked Metal Gotham, but Thanagar was a bust (imo). Looking back, the only recent content I really enjoyed was Chaos Gotham - as I was pretty bored with Atlantis and the Teen Titans episodes. Additionally, DCUO is over a decade old, and they've done their best to upgrade graphics, but between "ok" graphics (by today's standards), and boring game play, I think its time to focus my efforts elsewhere. Finally, I had to concur with Dackman in so far that the new management is try to over-monetize the DCUO. It seems like the DCUO is indeed a proverbial golden goose that is slowly being bled for other unsuccessful projects.
I'm I quitting the DCUO? No, not for now, anyways. But instead of plowing time and money into the game, I'll take a step back and work on learning to write fiction and develop my DAZ-3d skills. For those who have stopped by... my thanks. Hope to see you in-world!
A quick entry from Mr. Obsidian Chill (again), providing a quick overview of the existing DCUO trinkets, sidekicks, and backups in the game. As we're not getting any new content until April, its a perfect time to start leveling up in preparation for the Birds of Prey event.
On a more somber note, Mr. Dackman will be leaving the DCUO fold for a variety of reasons, as he has detailed below. He was an outstanding longtime DCUO blogger, providing insights and advice for DCUO players for years... but due to the the reasons from his video (many of which I agree with), he's leaving for good. Sad to say, but we wish him well in his other virtual worlds.
