A quick entry, as the DCUO Summer Event is in full swing! My favorite event (only followed by goodies from the Halloween and St. Patrick's day events), so I'm going to head on back in-world and brush off my alts so I get some of those precious sand dollars. Mr. Multiverse (below) does an excellent review of the 2019 Summer event, so do take a peek... then get a hoppin' and get those tokens!
Caught up with some rl (real life) issues at the moment, so I'm posting one of my favorite artists with an iconic superheroine - Power Girl! Do enjoy, and more to come later this week...
Continuing with the outstanding "Most In-Depth" guides by superlative Mr. Obsidian Chill, I've posted the Nature DPS / Healer in-depth guide. I'm not a healer, so I'm not familiar with the nature skill set, and frankly, don't seem to see a lot of nature DPS in-world, but oddly... it seems to be one of the more popular power sets that were sought on the blog. Thus, I'm adding Obsidian Chill's excellent (and detailed) overview of the power set.
On another topic, I'm in the process of updating the blog's appearance. Didn't really like the old view, so I'm in the process of testing out new looks and formatting. I used to run a pretty well-know blog back "in the day", so I'm familiar with tweaking these things. Don't be surprised if you see more tweaking in the future! See you on the streets, hero!
As those who know, my toon in DCUO is Lennox (pictured above), a half son of Zeus, and more importantly, his powers (along with his appearance) are earth based. Which is my half-hearted segue to the introduction to Mr. Obsidian Chill's outstanding Earth guide. Obsidian Chill is a long time DCUO YouTuber, and over the past year focused on producing guides with associated power sets in the DCUO. As my fav is Earth, I figured I'd start off with that one, as you can see below...
Tanking is often the "gateway" set of power for the DCUO, and I quite enjoy most (more on that later). Still, if you're looking for a good introductory power, you can pretty much set up a variety of loadout (my differs quite a bit from the above guide, but still, the guide is quite good). As such, if you're interested, please give it a good, and do enjoy!
Welp, ramping up what needs to be done on the blog, starting with a visual makeover / layout. Lots of stuff to improve, but that will come in time. For now, I've linked a recent answer to an going question..."Is DC Universe Online Dead"? Multiverse is an outstanding DCUO YouTuber, and has quite the lengthy op-piece below. It has a looong overview of the history of the DCUO, but worth a listen!
Well, its been a bit since I've posted on the blog, partially from "real life" (rl) eating up my spare time, and partially because I was numbed after months of the Atlantis episode. Still, now that the Justice League Dark has finally dropped, I'm back and grinding a bit more, especially with the newest changes to DCUO. As such, I'll post more later, but for now, thanks for stopping by!
Well, I'm back to running the blog, with a few minor changes. First, I did miss blogging about DCUO, so I figured I'd get back into posting about DCUO, and plesantly surprised it was getting good hits! A bit has happened in the DCUO since last September (Atlantis, the seasonals, and a few other things), and with most of my mains and alts up in their CR, I figured adding some more insights (and links to YouTubers doing the same) might be a nice benefit, as well as souping up the site a bit.
As part of the "renovation", I've put a really good post by Greg DeLuca, a prolific DCUO YouTuber. I might not agree with all of his choices and/or opinions, but its work a view - do enjoy!
Unfortunately, I'm going to go on hiatus for a bit, due to RL issues. Nonetheless, the blog will be back to its full speed eventually, so I'll catch up with you later!
